Leading Child Rights Organization Names Sanjana Sanghi As Youth Advocate For Education

A gold medal winner and the recipient of a renowned prize from the HRD Minister of India to be ranked in India’s top 0.1% percentile in her Grade 12 examinations-Sanjana Sangi has scripted history!

Her passion and belief in the power of education has always been consistent. At the end of 2014, she decided to double down on this passion when during her first-year, she started as a volunteer teacher to teach children from low-income families, with the main office in Delhi, which is a non-governmental organization, which was the beginning of her journey in teaching which has only grown since then.

What Did Sanjana Say?

Her journey now comes full circle as she has been entrusted as the Youth Advocate for Education by India’s leading Child Rights Organisation, Save The Children.

Sanjana shares, ” Education, for me has been like a magic potion. It makes you who you are and it changes how you see the world and it isn’t just what happens in the classroom. Every single child deserves a right to basic education and I’m committed to ensuring that my journey of the last 7 years continues for the rest of my life to be able to make education a reality for the largest number in our country”

What Will Be Her Role As The Youth Advocate?

In her role as a youth education advocate, Sanjana would devote her influence and efforts to ensure the access to education for girls because there are about 10 million girls in India who are at risk of dropping out of school due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The goal is to collect 100,000 supporters for this petition, in order to provide for the education of all children, particularly girls, ok the occasion of World of Literacy Day on 8 September.

On The Work Front

On the work front, Sanjana has won hearts with her debut in Dil Bechara, and she will also be next seen in the film, an action thriller titled Om: The Battle Within opposite Aditya Roy Kapur.
