Kris Jenner and her huge family shocked fans around the world when they announced they will be canceling Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
The momager came on The Ellen Show and addressed the move of ending their 14-year show. She admitted that it was a sudden move but says it will always be the best home movies ever made. The creator of KUWTK appeared on Ellen DeGeneres’ show on Wednesday.
Kris also shut down rumors doing the rounds about her joining The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills. She said she does not have enough time to be a regular castmember. The matriarch has been on her own reality show since 2007 with her former husband, Caitlyn Jenner, and their six children, Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Rob, Kendall, and Kylie.
She revealed a bit about their decision to end the long-running show and said it was sudden. The momager said, “We were talking about signing with our network for another couple of years, but we all came to the decision as a group, it just all came to us after 20 seasons and 14 years.”
Kris shared how weird it feels because by the time she started there was barely Twitter or any other social media sites. She added that she didn’t have grandchildren and people weren’t married or divorce. The businesswoman said, “It’s amazing to think that I have the best home movies in the world.”
She revealed that Khloe was really upset over the decision. The mother-of-six revealed that Khloe is the most emotional and all of them got emotional when they had to tell the crew. She added that they have been with the same crew since the start and they are like an extended family to the Kar-Jenners.
Khloe Was The Most Emotional
Kris shared, “Khloe was the saddest, she stayed with the crew for hours reminiscing about old times. This chapter has been so amazing, we’re so blessed to have this experience.”
The momager also broke her silence on the rumors of her joining the crew of RHOBH right after ending KUWTK. She said she would do it once in a while to be with her friend, Kyle Richards. However, when it comes to doing the show regularly, she said she does not have enough time. She said, “They do not need a Kris Jenner on that show, they’re doing just fine.”
Talk show host, Ellen premiered her new season recently after allegations about a toxic workplace environment. Kris showed support to Ellen and told her they both have seen a storm or two in their day. She added that they both have been through a lot of crazy stuff, but “the storm does past.”
Kris continued in support, “Hopefully we all come away with a lesson. I just love you so much, such a dear and wonderful friend, I’m so proud of you. You do things and give things to people that people don’t even give about.”
The season premiere for the show scored a 1.9 Nielsen household rating, the same number as last year, according to Variety. The View was comfortably the winner on Monday night with a 2.7 rating. In the key demographic of those aged 25-54 however, The Ellen DeGeneres Show gained from a 0.9 from a 0.8 in 2019.
