The Boston Celtics recently defeated the Brooklyn Nets, and this was certainly an awe-inspiring performance by the franchise. Star forward Jayson Tatum shined in the victory for the Celtics with a 54 point performance.
Despite a mediocre start to the season, the Boston Celtics are currently the 5th seed in the Eastern Conference and have gone 22-8 during 2022. Basketball analyst Kevin O’Connor has recently claimed that the Celtics are “contenders to make the NBA Finals, and told everyone to “forget about how Boston’s season started”.
Kevin’s tweet read,
“The Celtics are contenders to make the NBA Finals.
Udoka found a rotation that works. Tatum and Brown are blossoming. 22-8 in 2022 with a top 10 offense and by far the #1 defense.
Forget about how Boston’s season started, this is a different team and should be taken seriously.
I can’t recall a team that went from so unwatchable to so great in a single season. Can you?
We’ve seen older teams coast and younger teams get off to slow starts. But win or loss, the early season Celtics just played straight ugly basketball. Now one of the best teams to watch.”
The Boston Celtics definitely made some inspiring changes to their squad that has helped them to turn things around. Notably, they traded for guard Derrick White, and he has given them another ballhandler to strengthen their bench squad.
It is a well known fact that the Boston Celtics are a young, talented team. They have two big stars in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, and they are both forwards that provide a two-way impact. There were rumours in the past that the Boston Celtics could separate them. But now, it is quite clear that the Boston Celtics have figured out the formula for the two to coexist.
These are exciting times for the young Boston Celtics team, and it would be interesting to see how far they can go with the postseason approaching soon. They are definitely a rising young squad, and their talent level is indicative that they could be a lethal squad to face for any team in the playoffs.
