Omega return delights everyone!

Omega lost the AEW World Championship to Hangman Page in his final match at Full Gear in November of last year. Then it was discovered that Omega had suffered from a number of wounds during his tenure as “The Belt Collector” in 2021, including problems with his shoulder and knee, a sports hernia, and vertigo. He made the announcement that he would take a break from television, gave up the final of his titles (the AAA Mega Championship), and then underwent surgery.

But he gives the fans an ultimatum

In a recent Twitch stream, Omega declared that he would resign if he were to sustain further severe wounds. The Canadian superstar made his professional wrestling debut in 2001. Throughout his career, he has held the titles of AEW World Champion, Impact World Champion, and IWGP Heavyweight Champion.

Comeback was much anticipated and much wanted

On Dynamite, Kenny Omega made his much awaited AEW comeback, teaming up with fellow Elite stablemates The Young Bucks to defeat La Faccion Ingobernable in the opening round of the ongoing Trios World Championship Tournament.

If it wasn’t already obvious, this week’s Being The Elite, which ended with a little excerpt from the former World Champion’s entrance song, made it very clear that Omega would be the Bucks’ mystery partner. So it went, after a typically drawn-out Justin Roberts introduction, Omega walked out to a fantastic reception.

In his first AEW appearance since November 2021, Omega triumphed, pinning Dragon Lee to end The Elite’s tournament run in the first round.

Kenny wanted to be back in June itself

Later on, Omega acknowledged in interviews that he had attempted to return to the ring in time for the Forbidden Door pay-per-view in late June, but it hadn’t been successful. Omega arrived with Michael Nakazawa and Don Callis, but the crowd greeted him like a conquering hero when he returned.

Kenny’s health is much more important to many fans and to us

After a string of recent injuries happening in AEW, we are alighted to see him back in action!

But, it was good to see that the event was largely focused on making pro wrestling drama out of very genuine health issues. Omega fought in a back rash guard with a shoulder brace over top, sold his knee, and kept some of his most powerful moves in the chamber due to his numerous injuries, including vertigo, knee and shoulder problems, a sports hernia, and others. His underperformance—though a clever one registered as a performance.
