Kendall Jenner is getting a lot of backlash on social media for throwing a huge birthday bash on her 25th birthday. Her birthday is not until Tuesday, however, the model decided to throw a party ahead of it.
The party was held at Harriet’s Rooftop atop the 1 Hotel in West Hollywood. Although reports suggest that every person had to have a negative Covid-19 report to enter the party, the reality star still received a lot of backlash. People did not take it well when the necessary precautions were not practiced by the guests as photos and videos surfaced the internet.
A video posted on Kylie Jenner’s Instagram story saw Kendall dressed up as Pamela Anderson from her 1996 cult classic Barb Wire. In the story, Kendall was seen blowing out the candles while a masked waiter held the cake and tried to move away from the model.
Twitter users noticed this and expressed their displeasure after seeing the video. One critic wrote, “Ok Kendall Jenner blowing out candles as a masked waiter holds her cake; and tries to move out of the way was actually the scariest thing I saw on Halloween”. Meanwhile, the other users noticed a card at the party which said that the guests cannot post photos on social media.
Although half the family was posting photos and videos from the night, a user tweeted, “Not Kendall Jenner hosting a Halloween party in the middle of the pandemic; and making a ‘no social media’ rule so people wouldn’t know”. Twitter did not take this well as it seemed to be a rule so that people do not know about the luxurious birthday bash.
Jaden Smith Receives Backlash For Making Fun of Covid-19 Patients
Photos of other celebrities attending the birthday bash also surfaced; as rapper Saweetie dressed up like Mystique from X-Men and Winnie Harlow was seen as Bride of Frankenstein. A user posted the photos while criticizing Kendall and; how she threw a big party with a ‘no social media’ rule so that people would not find out about the party.
A couple other users slammed Jaden Smith for attending the party, in what looks like, a Covid-19 patient. He was wearing an oxygen mask as he was seen with Justin Bieber. “There’s just something so inhumane about Jaden Smith wearing an oxygen mask as a costume,” said a Twitter user. Another user said apart from attending Kendall’s party, Jaden is making fun of the situation.
The user shared how her mom and aunt are asthmatic and they had to be rushed to the hospital with oxygen many times. Another Twitter user, @winniiew, added, “This Halloween/birthday party for Kendall Jenner with a s**t ton of people; 0 social distancing and the only people wearing masks are the service workers. Eat the rich. I hate it here.”
While many other Twitter users were not happy, Kendall or any of her family members have not commented on the issue. This comes after Kim Kardashian West was slammed for celebrating her 40th birthday bash on a private island.
