Kathryn Hahn, WandaVision actor, has joined the excellent cast of the Knives Out sequel

Kathryn Hahn is the most recent addition to Rian Johnson’s Knives Out sequel cast. According to Variety, the 47-year-old actor joins fellow newcomers Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, and Janelle Monae in the thriller series.

In the sequel, British actor Daniel Craig, who played master sleuth Benoit Blanc in the hit 2019 whodunnit, will reprise his role. Netflix has officially paid USD 450 million for the rights to produce two sequels to Knives Out.

The story of the second film has been kept a secret. Rian will return to directing, and he and Ram Bergman will produce under their T-Street banner. Knives Out was well-received by critics and viewers alike, and it followed a family reunion gone tragically wrong after the family patriarch’s death prompted detective Benoit Blanc to investigate.

Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Toni Collette, Lakeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford, Jaeden Martell, and Christopher Plummer were among the cast members of the mystery. Media Rights Capital (MRC) produced the film, which was distributed by Lionsgate. On a $40 million budget, it grossed USD 311.4 million, earning Johnson an Oscar nomination for best original screenplay.

The new film’s production will begin in Greece this year. Kathryn, who recently starred in the Disney Plus series WandaVision as Agatha Harkness, will next appear in Hotel Transylvania: Transformania and The Shrink Next Door, alongside Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd.
