Kanye West’s follow-up to last year’s ‘Donda’ will be released in February.
‘Donda 2’ will be released on February 22nd, according to Kanye. Variety.com notes that the 2/22/22 release date is suitable for the first sequel album he’s recorded in his career. He made the announcement alongside a photo of his childhood house in Chicago on fire, as well as the news that Future will executive-produce ‘Donda 2’.
Release of DONDA 2
According to Variety.com, Ye famously created a duplicate of his home in the center of Soldier Field in Chicago for one of his ‘Donda’ album listening sessions last year.
More infamously, that was the same concert at which he invited Marilyn Manson and DaBaby to perform on the steps of his house.
Ye had begun working on ‘Donda 2’ earlier this month, just a few months after the original ‘Donda’ was published on August 29, 2021, after multiple delays; earlier this week, Steven Victor, a Universal Music executive and longtime associate of West’s, stated the album is arriving “sooner than you think.”
However, Kanye fans are well aware that the prolific rapper has a history of album delays and projects that are announced but never completed, so whether or not ‘Donda 2’ is released on time will likely be revealed only on February 22.
‘Donda,’ which was named after Ye’s late mother, is nominated for a number of Grammy awards, including album of the year and rap album of the year.
The Weeknd and Lil Baby’s song ‘Hurricane’ is nominated for best melodic rap performance, while Jay-song Z’s ‘Jail’ is nominated for best rap song.
Pete Davidson Disputes With Kanye West
Pete Davidson has recently been well-known as a result of his rumored relationship with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s reaction to it.
Kim and Pete were spotted jetting out to the Bahamas for a vacation together, indicating that their romance is still going strong, which has irritated West for quite some time!
West rapped some fairly graphic lyrics about Kim and her lover in a tune released last week. One of the verses in the song, titled Eazy, says, “God protected me from that crash/ Just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s a**,” which has gotten a lot of attention because of Kim’s relationship with Pete. According to a Page Six source, however, the Saturday Night Live actor is concerned about West’s open threat in his song.
According to the source, Davidson has always been in the news because of his dating past, but dating a Kardashian adds a new level of scrutiny to his personal life. According to Page Six, “it’s funny to him that the press wants to know his every move all of a sudden.” Another insider told the publication that the “whole craziness with Kanye last week has pushed Kim and Pete closer.”
