A few hours after television actor Karan Patel teased and mocked actor Kangana Ranaut’s tweet of ‘forcefully absorbing oxygen from the environment’, her sister Rangoli Chandel called him ‘bojh (burden) to Mother Earth’.
Taking to her Instagram, she used a photo of Karan’s story and wrote, “And u r the most Nalla Person this country has ever produced ,who has not done anything for environment… who is just a bojh (burden) on Mother Earth have some gratitude & feel better !! @karan9198.”
What Was Kangana’s Tweet?
Kangana’s tweet reads, “Everybody is building more and more oxygen plants, getting tons and tons of oxygen cylinders, how are we compensating for all the oxygen that we are forcefully drawing from the environment? It seems we learnt nothing from our mistakes and catastrophes they cause #Planttrees.”
In a subsequent tweet, she also wrote, “As well as announcing more oxygen to the people, governments must declare environmental relief as well and, people who use oxygen must also promise to work to improve air quality, for how long we going to be miserable pests only taking never giving back to nature.”
Karan’s Response To Kangana
Karan took to Instagram Stories to share a script for what she wrote, writing, “This woman is the biggest comedian ever produced in this country.”
Karan has taken a dig at Kangana several times in the past. After comparing herself to Meryl Streep and Gal Gadot, Karan had replied and said, “Upar wale ne inko bheja toh bheja, lekin inke bheje mein bheja hi nahi bheja (God gave her brains, but does she know what to do with them).”
On Tuesday, Kangana’s Twitter account was permanently suspended following hot tweets in response to recent West Bengal election results. Last year, the account of her sister Rangoli Chandel was also blocked from the platform.
Several celebrities, including Richa Chadha, Swara Bhasker, Hansal Mehta, Kavita Kaushik, Kubbra Sait, and Gulshan Devaiah have responded to the development. Kangana’s Twitter account also faced restrictions in January. Shen had written a tweet against Amazon Prime Video series Tandav.
Meanwhile, Kangana is awaiting the release of her multilingual film Thalaivi where she will portray the role of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. The film has been indefinitely postponed due to the rise in Covid-19 cases across India. Earlier, it was scheduled to release in April in theaters.
