Kaanu Olaniyi is ready to thrill NBA fans with his amazing skills as the talented Swiss basketball player makes the NBA Draft 2020. The 22-year-old Swiss international has already made his mark in the Swiss Basketball League and will probably become one of the biggest basketball exports from Switzerland once he makes his debut in the NBA. 

The NBA remains the Eldorado of every basketball player and enthusiast, with every professional player aspiring to one day put on the jersey of any of the illustrious teams in the league. The NBA Draft is one of the most anticipated lists in the sporting world as it serves as a platform for talented players to enter the league. The NBA draft literally puts the basketball world on a standstill as different teams in the league pick players to represent them in the upcoming season. Therefore, one can rightly describe any player that makes the pick as a prospect and the selection as a feat worth celebrating. Consequently, it is not surprising that Kaanu Olaniyi is making all the headlines after making the NBA Draft 2020.

The six foot eight power forward/center recently played for BC Boncourt Red Team in Switzerland – LNA, where he averaged 4 rebounds, 2.9 points, and 3.6 efficiency in the 2018-2019 regular season. Kaanu played for Chalon U21 as a teenager between the ages of 16 and 18 before joining Swiss Basketball League team, BC Boncourt Red Team in the 17/18 season. He remained in the SBL switching between Union Neuchatel and BC Boncourt Red Team over the course of 3 seasons.

One of his most recent achievements include a career high 3 blocks on January 01, 2018, setting his career high in blocks in a Switzerland – LNA game. Kaanu helped his team to a 64-86 win on the road, with 5 points and 6 rebounds.

As a Swiss international, Kaanu represented the Swiss Basketball team under Coach Gianluca BARILARI in 2017. The talented center made the 14-player list of Gianluca BARILARI selected to face Macedonia for the first competition window for pre-qualifying for the EuroBasket 2021.
