Jisoo of BLACKPINK Drives The Highest EMV For Dior’s 2023 Fashion Shows

Kim Jisoo is more popularly known as BLACKPINK’s lead vocalist. But the 28-year-old Korean singer has also established a strong presence in the fashion industry. Jisoo’s fame in the global fashion scene is such that top brands like Cartier and Dior had to engage in a contract battle to secure the K-Pop star as their brand ambassador. Jisoo ranked as the most influential at PFW shows last year.

Jisoo was again spotted in the front row at Dior’s Paris Haute Couture Show this year. According to data revealed by Lefty, Jisoo’s appearance and social media posts regarding the show generated $22M in EMV, which is the highest by any celebrity at Dior Fashion Shows this year.

Jisoo was the most influential celebrity at the Paris Fashion Week Spring/ Summer 2023 with the HIGHEST Earned Media Value — $22.4M EMV and 7% engagement rate. The singer was able to beat another global fashion icon Kylie Jenner to earn the top spot. Jisoo was also the #1 influencer at Paris Fashion Week SS22 with $4.78M EMV and at PFW AW22 with $6.59M EMV.

A media portal named SponsorUnited recently revealed data regarding the most successful social media brand campaigns of 2022. And it wasn’t surprising to see Jisoo at the top.

Jisoo’s campaign with Cartier generated 55.4M engagements. The Korean singer was only ranked below Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty Campaign which earned 68.M engagements. Other campaigns by western stars like Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, and Ariana Grande were all ranked below Jisoo.

Jisoo To Make Solo Debut This Year

Jennie was the first BLACKPINK member who made her solo debut back in 2018 with a solo single titled “Solo”. Three years after that Rosé became the next BLACKPINK member to go solo in 2021, who released a single album with two songs – On The Ground & Gone. And a few months after that Lisa made her solo debut with her single album Lalisa, which also only consisted of two songs.

Jisoo is the only BLACKPINK member who has never released a solo song, even more than 6 years after BLACKPINK made their debut as a K-Pop group. YGE first confirmed plans for Jisoo’s solo debut back in 2020, via a statement where they also confirmed that she’ll be the last BLACKPINK member to make her solo debut. Jisoo recently confirmed that she will finally make her much-awaited solo debut this year. YG later revealed that Jisoo is currently working on her solo album and we should expect more news soon.
