Park Jimin of BTS, who is making his solo debut next month, was just confimred to be a new global ambassador for the luxury fashion brand Dior.
In an exclusive piece, Women’s Wear Daily or WWS has revealed that Jimin has been signed as Dior Global Ambassador.
“The South Korean artist now embodies the spirit and singularity of Dior style, modernity with a timeless signature,” Dior said in a brief statement.
Jimin recently graced W Korea’s January issue, dressed in Dior head-to-toe, giving rise to rumors regarding his collab with the brand. He was also seen wearing Dior for his collab single with Taeyang.
Jimin is also rumored to be traveling to Paris to attend the upcoming Dior show at Paris Fashion Week.
Jimin has joined BLACKPINK member Jisoo who is also a Dior global ambassador.
Jimin To Go Solo In February
According to credible Korean media sources, Jimin is ready to release PJM1 next month. However, the date for his solo debut has not yet been confirmed.
BigHit has already provided a response to the news of Jimin making his solo debut in Feb. A Bighit Music representative told Exports News: “We are checking the schedule regarding Jimin’s solo debut in February, and we are coordinating it.”
Jimin will be the fourth BTS Member to go solo after j-hope, Jin, and RM. In addition to Jimin, other BTS members also seem to have individual ties with luxury fashion brands. Taehyung with CELINE, Suga with Valentino, J-hope with Louis Vuitton, and Jungkook with Balenciaga.
BTS and the French luxury brand Dior have had an association since 2019, when Kim Jones, head of menswear at Dior, created stage outfits for their “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” world tour. BTS has collaborated with companies like Louis Vuitton, Samsung, Coca-Cola, and McDonald’s. Louis Vuitton named BTS as brand ambassadors in April 2021; this partnership is no longer active.
