Jewellery designs coming straight from the land of culture, tales, art, and traditions: Ivar by Ritika Ravi

No matter how much you have already explored, it will never be enough to explore all. India is a land full of colourful traditions, impactful tales, rich heritage, and a beautiful history that paves the way for endless inspiration.

IVAR by Ritika Ravi is not a regular jewellery brand but one that holds significant inspiration and emotions. The sole idea behind this brand that makes it stand out among the rest is its sustainable approach. The finest and oldest Indian craftsmanship techniques combine contemporary designs with the brand’s essence, making the most exquisite and imperial jewellery collections.

“Jewellery for me is all about the stories that are attached to it and the heritage behind it, and that’s what makes it so special,” says Ritika Ravi, of her passion for jewellery design. The collections of IVAR are inspired by rich Indian traditions, culture and history, with Ritika Ravi describing her designs as sophisticated and laidback. Her emotional connection to jewellery design began in the 9th grade, and has only grown ever since.

Every piece of jewellery designed for IVAR by Ritika Ravi uses Polki and Enamel as the raw material. Her philosophy about jewellery design is that each piece should be timeless – with future generations also falling in love with them.

‘Polki’ is an uncut natural diamond without any chemical mixture. The polki diamond speaks of India’s loyal and regal heritage as it came to light during the rise of the Mughal Dynasty. It was extensively used by the royalty. These little pieces of polki diamond are fitted firmly in the structure of gold per Ritika’s intricate designs.

The Mughal Dynasty also introduced enamel, which goes perfectly with the colourful designs by giving it a contemporary and edgy feel. This combination of exemplary hand-crafted jewellery work with modern ideas gives IVAR jewellery a contemporary twist.

Broadly IVAR has three jewellery collections: Charu Collection, the 10.18 Collection, and Troubadour Collection. The idea behind Charu Collection comes from the South-Indian wedding tradition where the Nelli Ring is given to the bride by her mother as a token of representation of their vows taken in the presence of ‘Agni,’ which speaks of special familial affection. Also, the CHARU COLLECTION holds much more meaning than any other collection because it is named after designer Ritika Ravi’s mother.

The following collection is ‘The 10.18 Collection’, which portrays the idea of ‘Born in India and Launched in The Maldives.’ This collection comprises earrings, bracelets, rings, and necklaces made with gemstones and set in white and yellow gold. The Polki reflects the sunlight, and the sapphire echoes the endless tones of Maldives lagoons. This jewellery collection by IVAR is suitable for all occasions.

Troubadour Collection is a combination of Indian Enamel crafts with gold. This collection contains all the sentiments of joy and colours. The vision behind this jewellery collection is to promote jewellery that can be worn daily in all its vibrancy of colours.

“For every piece of jewellery has a classic tale to tell.”
