Jennifer Meyer and Tobey Maguire have ended their marriage by filing for divorce. A source has revealed that Jennifer has filed for divorce from Tobey after four years of breaking up.
Back in 2016, sources disclosed that the couple had been living apart for a while now. The sources revealed that the couple has different interests and haven’t been connecting. “He’s extremely private and prefers to stay home, and she’s very social and has tons of girlfriends,” the insider said.
The source added that the couple hasn’t been happy together for a long time but they are great parents and they love their children. The former couple has two kids, Ruby and Otis, both 11-year-old and 13-years-old respectively.
However, sources had revealed back in 2017 that the couple has been doing much better and are on friendly terms. But even then there were no hopes of reconciling for the couple. The former couple has shown support to each other even after their split.
Back in 2018, the Spiderman actor had attended the opening of his ex’s jewelry store in Los Angeles. The former couple had tied the knot in 2007 surrounded by their family and friends.
Jennifer had also taken to social media to wish Tobey on Father’s Day. She wrote that no matter what, she can count on him to be a dad to their kids. Meyer wrote, “To the best baby daddy. All I can say is no matter what happens in life, to relationships, etc…. choose a dad for your kids that you can count on forever.
She continued, “This one right here is my best friend and the greatest dad to our babies. I’m sorry Tobey, I know you hate Instagram, but every once in a while I like to brag to everyone about how special you are ❤️ Happy Father’s Day ❤️”
