Jennifer Lawrence is said to have given birth to her very first child with her husband Cooke Maroney. When the actress was pictured in New York City last summer, she had fueled the pregnancy rumors. Jennifer and her husband’s first child has arrived now.
As per public records acquired by TMZ, Lawrence gave birth in Los Angeles County. However, the exact date of her delivery as well as the gender of her baby is unknown. The actress got engaged to Maroney in early 2019 and they got married in October of that year.
The Oscar winner kept her romance primarily hidden from the public eye. Lawrence does not have any social media handle which makes things more difficult for media. The couple initially met in 2018 after the actress’ best friend Laura Simpson introduced them. They began dating shortly after but took great care of keeping their relationship private.
Initially, they were linked in June 2018, but none of them have revealed anything about their relationship. “He’s a great guy. He’s smart and funny, and I think really keeps her on her toes and he doesn’t treat her like a celebrity like the other boyfriends did,” an insider source said of Maroney shortly after things became serious.
JLaw is a native of Kentucky, whereas the director of New York’s Gladstone Gallery is originally from Vermont. He graduated from New York University with a degree in art history. His father, James Maroney, was also an art dealer who worked at Christie’s in Manhattan as the Head of American Paintings. Cooke Maroney has collaborated with painters such as Carroll Dunham and sculptor Matthew Barney, who used to date Björk, among others.
“You find your favorite person on the planet and you’re like you can’t leave.”
Lawrence proposed to him in a private ceremony in February 2019, after which he made his first public appearance. In June 2019, she discussed Maroney on Catt Sandler’s podcast.
“I definitely wasn’t at a place where I was like, ‘I’m ready to get married’. I just met Cooke and I wanted to marry him. We wanted to marry each other. We wanted to commit fully. He’s my best friend so I want to legally bind him to me forever. And fortunately, the paperwork exists for such a thing. It’s the greatest. You find your favorite person on the planet and you’re like you can’t leave. So I wanted to take that offer,” she had said back then.
Months later, it was revealed that the pair married in a private ceremony in Rhode Island.
