The singer and influencer Jena Frumes is expecting her first child with Jason Derulo. He made the happy announcement on Instagram with a heartwarming video compilation of him and his girlfriend. They were seen beaming happily over the good news.
Jason captioned the post and wrote he could not be more thrilled for this new chapter of his life. The social media star also celebrated the news of their pregnancy with a simple message on her Instagram. She wrote, “Mom & Dad”.
The couple’s friends and fans were equally excited and expressed their love and support towards the couple. “Congrats omg!! [red heart emoji],” Skai Jackson replied with model Nazanin Mandi responding, “Omg babe congrats [heart-eyes emoji and star emoji].”
Jessica Cribbon also commented as she congratulated the couple and wrote, “This is amazing.” The couple had started dating a little over a year ago and Jason had even got candid about his relationship with Jena. He revealed it was love at first sight as he shared how they met.
“We met at the gym. We met at Equinox,” he told Page Six at the time. “We both have a similar desire to work out all the time, and I had seen her there once before. The second time, I was like, let me go talk to her. And the rest is history.”
The Savage Love singer did not share the detauls about when him and Jena began dating but he did say it was at the start of the pandemic. He had also admitted that he is getting near the age where he wants to start thinking about becoming a father. The musician had further shared that he has reflected on life more during this coronavirus pandemic.
“These last few months have changed the way that I think about my career,” he shared in August 2020. “I don’t think I can be away from home that long anymore. It will change a lot of people, right?”
Jason further questioned how does one goes back into the world and continues like nothing ever happened. He shared that he cannot go back to the same lifestyle where he is on a plane every single day. “Things will definitely have to change,” he continued.
