Is Jennie of BLACKPINK going to star in a TV Show with The Weeknd, Troye Sivan, & Lily-Rose Depp?

I mean that would be a total collapse. Something no one is ready for, but also something that all of us want… but is it really happening? Where did this rumor even come from? Keep reading to find out.

The TV show that we are talking about here is called The Idol, which was first announced back in 2021. It is an upcoming American drama television series created by Abel Tesfaye (The Weeknd), Reza Fahim and Sam Levinson for HBO.

Set against the backdrop of the music industry, the series will be focusing on a self-help guru and leader of a modern-day cult who enters a complicated relationship with a rising pop idol. Tesfaye and Lily-Rose Depp are set to star in the leading roles, with Steve Zissis, Troye Sivan, and Juliebeth Gonzalez appearing as supporting characters.

Although there’s no official word from literally anyone associated with the show regarding Jennie having to do anything with it.. but fans think they may be in for a big surprise. Why? Because Jennie has been spotted or has had interactions with multiple people associated with the TV show.

Back in April Jennie was spotted partying with The Weeknd. Not only that, she was spotted with The Weeknd back in November of 2021 as well and the rumors of a collab between both the artists have been doing rounds ever since. Jennie has also been spotted hanging out with Lily-Rose Depp who also stars in the said TV show.

And recently and very randomly… out of nowhere, the Australian singer-turned-actor Troye Sivan started following Jennie on Instagram. To add to it, in the past few months Jennie has also made multiple trips to LA and no one really knows why.

In light of all the information, you can’t really blame the fans for getting their hopes up. It does seem as though there may be something exciting going on after all. But… since all of this is just speculations by fans, you should take this with a grain of salt.

The Weeknd will be executive producing and co-writing the music industry drama alongside Levinson, who is most known for his HBO hit series Euphoria and Netflix’s Malcolm & Marie.
