Indraneil Sengupta To Be Part of Karan Johar’s Web Series, The Heroine

There are some new updates regarding the latest web series which is in the stage of development. Numerous stars have got the opportunity to star in a venture in Karan Johar’s productions.

This time, the opportunity has landed on TV actor Indraneil Sengupta. The actor has been locked in to play a pivotal role in Karan’s upcoming web series which is titled The Heroine. It is by Dharmatic Entertainment.

However, not many details are revealed about Indranel’s role in the series but it will mark the debut of Bollywood’s legendary actress, Madhuri Dixit Nene. Along with these talented actors, the web series will also be featuring Suhansini Mulay where she will be playing the role of Madhuri’s mother.

The Heroine has been described as a suspenseful family drama that revolves around the story of a global superstar. Her world completely transforms once she migrates to another country where nobody knows her. The upcoming series is set to premiere on Netflix.

It has further been described as having an entertaining and riveting storyline that expects to uncover hidden truths and painful lies of a Bollywood superstar’s life. The Heroine is also said to be inspired by Madhuri’s time in the US after tying the knot with Dr. Sriram Nene.

The actress has previously collaborated with Netflix for her Marathi home production ’15th August’. However, this will mark her first web project as an actor. Madhuri said, “I’ve been working in films for decades now, and facing the camera has always been one of my greatest joys. But this is the first time I’ll be working on a series, and I’m both excited and nervous.”

The actress further shared that it will be a completely new experience for her; because while one has to be “judicious” when telling a story on film, they have the luxury of time when it comes to series.
