When hye-ri said her BF Ryu Jun-yeol watched every episode of “My Roommate Is A Gumiho”

Have you seen Hye-ri () and Jang Ki-Yong () in the drama “My Roommate Is A Gumiho“? The rom-com/fantasy K-final drama’s episode aired, in case you missed it.

To honour the series’ conclusion, the K-pop idol-turned-actress sat down for an interview. For those interested, Hye-ri played a college student specialising in Korean history who falls in love with Shin Woo-yeo, a 999-year-old Gumiho (nine-tailed fox) (played by Jang Ki-Yong).

“I recall meeting my character Lee Dam for the first time”.  Hye-ri said, “My heart fluttered.” I felt like I wanted the audience to feel the same way I did. The atmosphere on set was usually pleasant and welcoming. It was so much fun filming that I’m sad it’s over. I was ecstatic to be able to collaborate with such wonderful people.”

I think the praise, ‘I can’t picture other performers playing Dam other than Hye-ri,’ made me the happiest,” the Girl’s Day member continued. “Dam’s persona reminds me of myself in that she is very clear about what she wants and is honest and upfront. So I was really excited to be a part of this drama.”

“I think a lot of people had high hopes because there were a lot of situations that were comparable to the webtoon. So I was continually thinking about how I could improve the likeness and synchronisation. I spent a lot of time thinking about how I might properly communicate Dam for viewers to enjoy,” Hye-ri continued.

However, I believe this is the first production where people have seen me in the role of Dam,” Hye-ri was reported as saying.

During the interview, Hyeri also revealed that her boyfriend Ryu Jun-Yeol didn’t miss an episode of “My Roommate Is A Gumiho.” “He monitored every episode from start to finish,” she said, expressing her gratitude. “He’s always been really helpful and understanding.
