On their journey to becoming famous, almost all upcoming Hip Hop artists may be found on Spotify’s RapCaviar playlist. Having songs take up space on the island of the profitable playlist is now a rite of passage and a huge endorsement.
Thanks to Hulu, the narrative behind the well-known playlist is now being transformed into a docuseries. RapCaviar Presents, featuring Jack Harlow, Doja Cat, Tyler, The Creator, Megan Thee Stallion, Saweetie, and Roddy Ricch, will examine cultural topics in rap from the viewpoint of today’s generation of stars.
The eight-episode docuseries will “tackle some of today’s most provocative issues through stories of the hip hop visionaries currently ruling the charts and influencing our culture,” Hulu stated.
What Else Can We Expect?
Managing the docuseries’ creative side are Spotify execs Carl Chery and Liz Gateley. The director of the Tekashi 6ix9ine Supervillain and Lil Baby’s Untrapped documentaries for Showtime, Karam Gill, will executive produce the project.
Since its debut in 2015, RapCaviar has gained 14 million followers. The most recent songs added to the 50-song playlist are “Paris to Tokyo” by Fivio Foreign and The Kid LAROI, “Bows” by YBN Nahmir, and “Steppas” by CMG The Label.
