How Many Matches Are Going To Be Added Into AEW Dynamite’s Forbidden Door?

With only four days until AEWxNJPW: Forbidden Door, suspicion has transformed to what other matches might be added to the card. According to a tweet from Dave Meltzer earlier this afternoon, the answer is on tonight’s show of AEW Dynamite from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Meltzer tweeted that four new matches would be added to Forbidden Door tonight. It should be indicated that the tweet does not clarify whether a fight with Jay White is included as one of the fresh Forbidden Door matches. White’s opposing player has not been revealed, but he has mentioned that he will defend the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship on the show, though not against Hangman Page or Adam Cole. A White title defence has also been mentioned in press releases as part of the card.

Meltzer’s tweet is similar to comments made by AEW owner and CEO Tony Khan. Khan offered information on White’s opponent, and a heavy New Japan presence on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, implying that more New Japan talent would be appearing on AEW programming than ever before.

Other announced Forbidden Door matches include-

• Jon Moxley vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi for AEW Interim World Championship.
• Will Ospreay vs the Orange Cassidy for Ospreay’s IWGP US Championship.
• Thunder Rosa vs. Toni Storm
• Pac vs. Miro vs. Tomohiro Ishii vs. the winner of Malakai Black
• Penta Oscuro in a four-way match for the new AEW All-Atlantic Championship.
• FTR vs. Roppongi vs. United Empire for the IWGP and ROH Tag Team Championships.
• Chris Jericho, Minoru Suzuki, and Sammy

The AEWxNJPW: Forbidden Door event will take place at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, and would be broadcast on Bleacher Report and traditional PPV platforms.

CM Punk Vs. Kazuchika Okada

CM Punk vs. Kazuchika Okada, The Bullet Club vs. The Elite What are the 3 matches in common? Fans are waiting to see what matches will be revealed for this year’s AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view on June 26.

Despite neither company having announced a single match for the show, the setup for it appears to be starting this week on AEW Dynamite, live in Los Angeles. Bryan Danielson has been one of the names many have wanted to see in NJPW for years, and the AEW star has offered a few names of talent he’d would like endure at the event. I’d appreciate to wrestle Okada, but in the back of the mind, I’m thinking about wrestling Zack Sabre Jr. to see who the best technical wrestler in the world is, Danielson said during an interview.

Stay tuned for more information.
