Hip Hop Festival Day N Vegas Cancels September Events

The well-known hip-hop and R&B festival Day N Vegas, which was supposed to take place at the Las Vegas Festival grounds later this year, was abruptly postponed according to the event’s promoter.

Travis Scott was scheduled to perform live for the first time since a stampede left 10 people dead and hundreds injured at his Astroworld festival in Houston last November. Additionally scheduled to play were 21 Savage, Playboi Carti, Baby Keem, Pusha T, Freddie Gibbs, Vince Staples, and more well-known artists.

Why is Day N Vegas Postponed?

“We’re citing to announce that a combination of logistics, timing and production issues have forced us to cancel Day N Vegas for 2022,” the official Day N Vegas Twitter account posted this afternoon. “The refund process will begin immediately, and funds will appear back to your account within the next 2-4 weeks”.

All orders will be returned to the credit card used to complete the purchase, Day N Vegas announced in its announcement. Customers who purchased festival passes via AXS are asked to contact support.axs.com for more information.

The three-day festival, slated for September 2-4, was intended to feature hip-hop fan favorites like Travis Scott, J. Cole, and SZA.

As a result of the Astroworld disaster, in which nine people died in a crowd during his performance, Scott withdrew from the headliner slot at Day N Vegas last year, generating media attention. The Day N Vegas headliner for 2021 is now Post Malone. Travis Scott was scheduled to perform at a number of festivals this year, but he was also dropped from his position as Coachella’s night-closing act.
