Henry Cavill may be anticipated to return as Superman in Upcoming DC movie

Last seen two years ago in 2017’s Justice League as Man of Steel, Henry Cavill is in talks with Warner Bros to reprise his role as Superman.

The 37 year old british actor initially gained recognition after he was introduced into the DC Universe as Superman in the 2013 film, Man of steel, following which he returned to star in two more DC movies, including, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), and Justice League (2017) where he was last seen as Superman. It was initially decided that he would appear in other DC Comics movies, including a planned cameo in “Shazam!”, which unfortunately didn’t work out as he was abruptly let go from the job in late Summer, 2018.  It was assumed that at the time, Warner Bros. was rethinking its strategy for DC Comics movies.

His return since then has been quite uncertain as the fans had been kept in the dark, however, news has broken out that it might be time for Cavill to don the cape again. An official confirmation from either parties are yet due however this hasn’t stopped the actor’s fans from rejoicing his possible return.

In an interview with a magazine in december, Cavill had mentioned that he wasn’t finished with his Superhero duties yet. “The cape is still in the closet. It’s still mine. I’m not going to sit quietly in the dark as all the stuff is going on. I’ve not given up the role. There’s a lot I have to give for Superman yet. A lot of storytelling to do. A lot of real, true depths to the honesty of the character I want to get into. I want to reflect the comic books. That’s important to me. There’s a lot of justice to be done for Superman. The status is – you’ll see,”, said Henry.

Cavill can be currently seen starring in Netflix’s “The Witcher” where he plays the role of Geralt of Rivia.
