Halloween Kills BTS Image Shows Michael Myers Hugging Laurie’s Granddaughter

James Jude Courtney, who plays Michael Myers in Halloween Kills, shared a touching behind-the-scenes photo with Allyson actress Andi Matichak.

Halloween Kills, which is presently in theatres and available to stream on Peacock, is the second instalment in David Gordon Green’s reboot trilogy; which follows the events of the original Halloween from 1978 and ignores the events of the earlier sequels.

Laurie (Jamie Lee Curtis), her daughter Karen (Judy Greer), and her granddaughter Allyson (Matichak) are three generations of Strode ladies. Anthony Michael Hall, Charles Cyphers, Nancy Stephens, Kyle Richards, and Dylan Arnold also star in Halloween Kills. The infamous serial killer Michael Myers is played by two people in the new trilogy.

Michael is given the title of The Shape while he is in costume and is credited as that. Nick Castle, who played The Shape in the first film, has returned to reprise the role, but he now works alongside James Jude Courtney. Courtney is an actor and stuntman who fills in for Michael in scenarios that demand him to be more active (which are most of them, considering the high body count of Halloween Kills).

James Jude Courtney shared a sweet behind-the-scenes photo from the shoot on Instagram. “Me and my good friend @andimatichak” is the caption accompanying the picture. It depicts the two hugging on set. Given Courtney’s complete Michael costume, which includes bloodied hands and a half-burned face, it’s an odd photo, but it demonstrates how well everyone got along while filming the movie. Take a look at the post:

The two will reunite in the trilogy’s third and final instalment, Halloween Ends; which is planned to hit theatres on October 14, 2022. Laurie, Michael, or both appear as they’ll die before the end of the movie. Allyson’s fate is still up in the air. What is known is that Halloween Ends will take place after a time jump and will focus on Haddonfield’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

This Halloween Kills image is reminiscent of an old BTS shot of Nick Castle; wearing the mask on top of his head and pretending to let it drink a can of soda on the set of the original Halloween. It appears that having a sense of humour is required to play Michael Myers. Because it’s crucial to make sure actors know you’re not a massive brutish killer; when your job is to chase them around with a giant butcher knife; this is likely to assist establish a safe-feeling set environment.
