Hailey Bieber Says She & Justin Would Not Be Together If It Weren’t For Their Faith

Hailey Bieber sat down with Insecure actress and comedian Yvonne Orji on June 2 about navigating her relationship with God in the entertainment industry.

During one of her “Conversation With” segment, the model opened up about her struggle to stick to the modest profile of a Christian. She shared how some of her shoots and social media posts have attracted negative attention from other people who are religious.

The model revealed that she has met Christians who are super judgmental and made her feel like she is a bad person. “I’ve met Christian people that are just super judgmental and made me feel like I’m a bad person because I don’t live my life the way they think I should live my life,” Bieber said. She further revealed that she felt weird about posting certain pictures of herself because she felt people in church are going to see this.

Hailey said, “And I felt weird about posting certain photos of myself or feeling like, ‘People in the church are gonna see this. Am I doing something wrong? Am I setting a bad example?’ And the reality is no!” According to her, the reality is that her and Justin’s faith is the “biggest thing” that grounds their relationship.

The model shared that if they did not have faith, they would not be together. She said, “If we didn’t have that, we wouldn’t even be here. We wouldn’t even be together.” The YouTuber also talked about how she fears some of her shoots that needs her to show more skin and wearing lingerie will receive backlash from other Christians.

Yvonne also recalled her struggle to sign the nude waiver that asked her to shoot sex scenes on Insecure. Hailey said she would never model while she is completely nude. “I think I also take a place where I’m like, ‘OK, I wouldn’t want to ever be shot naked, but props to any woman who’s comfortable doing that,'” she told the Bamboozled by Jesus author.
