Guy Lelouch Discusses How To Improve Your Productivity

As an entrepreneur you need to ensure you’re as productive as possible. Guy Lelouch has helped people boost their productivity for a number of years now and has some great tips below to help you do so.

1. Restore The Natural Balance

Most entrepreneurs will agree that technology makes life a lot easier. And this also means you probably spend a great deal of time with some type of LCD screen in front of you. Thanks to all the emails, proposals, and client management aspects of your business, how do you not spend a lot of time with technology?

The reality is that technology can have a negative influence on your productivity. More specifically, if you use technology too much, that is when you go from productive to stagnant. Studies show that increased exposure to blue light and LCD screens can eventually lead to issues such as stress, anxiety, and even insomnia.

Hence the reason for restoring the balance through breaking away from technology. Instead, invest more time in nature and natural sunlight. Not only are these good for you, but they play a vital role in how productive you will ultimately be.

2. Choose The Little Things Wisely

Just because your phone is ringing, it does not mean you have to answer it. But when a phone is constantly within reach, it automatically trains us to react to every noise it makes. And when you take a closer look, you notice how much valuable time you waste simply checking your phone.

A corporate structure serves as a good example of how you need to approach your phone. For instance, you have to go through other people before you get a meeting with the CEO. Why not apply the same rule for yourself? Only let calls through that you are expecting, or for emergencies regarding family and friends. As for the rest of the world, they can wait for you to finish whatever it is you are doing.

The point is to start ignoring all the distractions. Switch off background electronics if they are not completely necessary, and give yourself a moment to be proactive. Whatever you missed will probably still be there when you are done.

3. Never Underestimate The Power Of Quality Rest

It might sound a little contradicting, but quality rest is critical if you want to avoid burnouts and maintain a healthy mind. But stress, especially when it is based on your business, can prevent you from getting the rest you desperately need. So, it is recommended to work in some breaks during your day. For example, you can take a quick nap in the afternoon. But it is even better if you get into a sleep routine, which helps a lot.

But sleeping is not the only way you can break away from your work. Vacations can also be beneficial to the body and mind. And they do not have to be longer than a few days. The point is to regenerate and get some perspective. Because when you are constantly straining to be productive, it dramatically changes what you are actually capable of.

4. Have Pride In Your Workspace

Whether you want to believe it or not, your workspace can and will make a mark on your productivity. And while it does not seem like it right now, it could be your surroundings that prevent you from soaring. So, here are some suggestions on how to gear your workspace according to a positive flow.

– Declutter:

Get rid of all the unnecessary distractions. More specifically, get rid of the junk that does nothing to promote your mood. Declutter your surroundings and give yourself some room to think straight.

– Organize:

Do your best to keep your workspace clean and organized. Not only will you feel better about yourself, but things go a lot smoother when you know where to look for it. Staying organized literally aids with maintaining confidence and control.

– Personalize:

A slogan to remind you of your goals, a special cup your family gave to on your birthday, these are things that create a pleasant atmosphere. And seeing as you are spending so much time in your workspace, why not make it as pleasant as possible?

5. Do Not Overwhelm Yourself

It is natural to try and do everything within a very limited time frame, especially when your own business is on the line, but overloading yourself is not helpful. Guy Lelouch can help you to manage your time more effectively,  boost productivity and realise your goals. You are better off approaching time-consuming tasks by scheduling breaks in between. Alternatively, you can hire some help to take care of the grunt work.
