GOT7’s Jinyoung Added To The Cast of Yumi Cells Along With SHINee’s Minho

Got7’s Park Jinyoung was recently announced to be joining the cast on the upcoming KDrama series “Yumi’s Cells,”. Fans are extremely thrilled to hear the news.

Jinyoung started his acting career before his debut as a member of Got7. In 2011, he was a part of the movie Dream High 2. The following year, he and Got7 member Jay B. made their debut in a project team called JJ Project. In 2014, he finally made his official Kpop debut as a singer on Got7.

The singer will now be starring alongside other famous actors such as SHINee’s Choi Minho, Kim Go-Eun and An Bo-Hyun. The GOT7 vocalist will be playing the role of Yoo Bobby who is an officer at the same company as the main character Yumi.

This show will be showing the tale of Kim Yumi who has shut down emotionally when it comes to romantic relationships after a failed relationship. The failed relationship left her in a coma because of the shock. Yumi Cells revolves around her “brain cells” that controls her thoughts and actions. Her love-cell is out of commission after the previous breakup and the rest of the cells are attempting to wake that up from its coma.

The show is broadcast by the tvN, which is known for hits such as “Hospital Playlist”, “Reply 1988”, “Prison Playbook” and “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay”. Fans of GOT7 were ecstatic after the news was confirmed as they expressed their excitement for him.

Park Jinyoung’s character’s name is Babi or Bobby and it was trending in Malaysia. Fans were trolling how Babi in Malaysian is a word used for pig. Another TV series “The Devil Judge” starring Jinyoung is currently on air. He will also star in the movie “High Five” directed by Kang Hyung Chul. The singer was also hired to be a part of the second season of Yumi Cells.
