The video was originally posted by a French journalist named Amar Taoualit on his TikTok account. He also shared a photo of Taehyung with his manager, confirming that it was indeed him in the video.

However, YG Entertainment did release a statement in October, saying that they would pursue legal action against those circulating private photos of Jennie. They said that sharing those images was an act of secondary victimization and can be subject to legal penalty. They also said that the photos were made public illegally, without Jennie’s consent.
Now there are rumors that Taehyung and Jennie are ready to go public with their relationship at the Cannes Film Festival 2023. Jennie is starring in the HBO Original series The Idol, alongside Lily-Rose Depp and Abel ‘The Weeknd’ Tesfaye. The series will be screened at the Grand Théâtre Lumière on May 22nd. Taehyung is also rumored to be attending the Cannes Film Festival as well, as he was spotted in Paris earlier today. A Brut France journalist claimed that Taehyung will be attending the Cannes Film Festival.
Another journalist, Louis Pisano, posted on Twitter that there might be a “hard launch” of Jennie and Taehyung at The Idol premiere on Monday. He also said that Taehyung will be wearing Celine and Jennie will be wearing Chanel. This rumor was further fueled by the fact that Finch and Partners, a firm that works with brands and companies like LVMH (Celine) and many events such as Cannes, started following Taehyung on Instagram a few days ago.
If these rumors are true, then Taehyung and Jennie will be making their red carpet debut as a couple at one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world.
