The American Dream announced that he will be at “SmackDown” on Friday after securing yet another victory, this time over Chad Gable of Alpha Academy. This Friday, Roman Reigns will be on “SmackDown,” and Rhodes was thrilled about it because he would be attending as well. Paul Heyman, Reigns’ special counsel, virtually assured that his client and Rhodes will square off on “SmackDown” in a backstage interview that took place after “Raw.”
The victor of the 2023 Royal Rumble fight for men hasn’t talked to “The Tribal Chief” directly, but Heyman has been a pain in Rhodes’ side for a while. Yet, as WrestleMania 39 approaches, not even Heyman can stop Rhodes’ momentum. Rhodes hasn’t dropped a bout since making a comeback to the promotion last year and defeating Seth Rollins at The Show of Shows. In a few weeks, we’ll learn whether that streak can last.

Despite rumours that WWE will switch the main event of WrestleMania 39, it will have Cody Rhodes, the winner of the Royal Rumble, going up against Roman Reigns, the WWE Universal Champion, in a singles contest. According to sources, the match will most likely be the last one to occur on WrestleMania Night two.
