Oprah Winfrey’s interview with Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry is one of the most highly anticipated interviews. It is the thing that royal fans wanted throughout all these updates about the family.
The couple is rumored to be talking with the legend about everything. Be it about Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, or their marriage and all the discourse along the lines of why they chose to leave their royal stations.
Snippets of their exclusive interview have been released and it shows Meghan sitting down with Oprah alone. There is also a glimpse of Harry sitting down with her as Oprah states that there is no subject that is off-limits. The interview takes place socially distanced as Oprah asks some questions to which we all wanted answers.
“You’ve said some pretty shocking things here,” says Oprah to the pair as they look sternly back at the host. Oprah further asks some more deep questions as she asks Meghan if she was silent or silenced. There is no glimpse of the Duchess answering the question in the snippet.
However, in response to something Meghan said, Oprah responds saying, “almost unsurvivable sounds like there was a breaking point.” Harry does open up as he gives a hint of his motivation of moving the family away from the U.K. The prince further shares as he hints at his mother and her shocking death. He said, “My biggest concern was history repeating itself.”
“..I can’t begin to imagine what it must have been for her going through this process..”
Prince Harry shared how he is relieved and happy to be sitting here; talking to Oprah with his wife by his side. He said, “I’m really relieved and happy to be sitting here; talking to you with my wife by my side because I can’t begin to imagine; what it must have been for her going through this process by herself all these years ago.”
This year on Valentine’s Day, i.e. February 14th, the Duke and Duchess revealed that Meghan is pregnant with their second baby. She is clearly pregnant in the interview as well. CBS had revealed that the former actress had agreed to give Oprah the primetime TV interview.
This will mark the second interview the couple has done in the past few weeks. Harry and Meghan also made a surprise appearance on The Late, Late Show With James Corden. They both cruised through LA and James tried to convince the young couple; to buy the real-life Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Mansion.
The interview of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with Oprah will premiere on March 7.
