Indeed, ISPR is trying its best to produce drama serials, short films revolving around the Pakistani army. Talking about its two major shows- Ehd E Wafa and Sinf E Aahan, fans are comparing and relating the content.
Likewise, talking about Pakistani drama industry, it has evolved over time. A trend that existed (Dhuwan and Alpha Bravo Charlie) has come back with ISPR latest shows. Audience is supporting and loving the on going ISPR show- Sinf E Aahan. The star studded show have- Sajal Aly, Kubra Khan, Yumna Zaidi, Merub Ali, Ramsha Khan and more. The plot strictly revolves around taboo of joining army by women belonging to the different background.
Talking about Ehd E Wafa- as the title defines its loyalty itself to the viewers. It didn’t fail to impress the viewer and kept the storytelling very light and fun. The story revolves around the four school friends who parted their ways during final exams. They had different hopes, aspirations, and goals in life. Even it is the third most google searched. The drama depicts career choices, different upbringings, and hardships faced by them as time passes by. The cast includes- Ahad Raza, Osman Khalid, Wahaj Ali, and Alizeh Ali, Ahmed Ali Akbar, Zara Noor Abbas. Did you know, many Pak celebs confirmed Sajal and Ahad divorce rumors.
These dramas have certain similarities while there are also some factors that set them apart from each other. Individual preferences determine which one worked better for the audience but there are certain aspects of these dramas which can easily be discussed neutrally. The reason why we feel there is a need for a comparison between the two is the similarities as well as the expectations of the viewers. Another reason, obviously, is that they are both ISPR productions.
Sinf E Aahan In Comparison With Ehd E Wafa
Eventually, first episode of the drama play the major role in deciding to watch further or not. Similarly, Ehd E Wafa’s first episode did not served the purpose. As people didn’t like the copy of few scenes from British show Peaky Blinders. Also, few actors were not young enough to pay the characters.
Similarly, Sinf E Aahan initial episodes received mixed response from the viewers. Some characters were stereotypical, but viewers enjoyed the different and mix background narratives. Overall, the casting however was not criticized as much as Ehd-e-Wafa’s casting was initially. Just like Ehd-e-Wafa’s controversial scene, some of the dialogues from Sinf-e-Aahan did not sit well with the viewers.
Content is the king. Although, Sinf E Aahan is still on air and its last episode will first premiere in cinemas followed by tv. And Ehd-e-Wafa ended a long time back, there is still enough material to compare the content of both the shows. Content-wise these two dramas are quite different from each other.
There is no denying the fact that content is the king! Although Sinf-e-Aahan is still on air and fans are drawing similarities. Talking about the content similarity between these two shows is that they focus on the journey of multiple protagonists. Even though in Ehd-e-Wafa, the main leads were males, the women in these men’s lives played a vital role in shaping their personalities in some way. These women were mothers, significant others, and even colleagues.
Similarly, in Sinf-e-Aahan even though the main protagonists are women, there are certain male characters positive and negative who have impacted the journey of these females. Another similarity between the characters is that all these characters come from different backgrounds. Another common element between these two dramas is their main theme, both these dramas are based on patriotism.
ISPR Shows Serves The Purpose
Like any other drama, both these dramas had their strengths and weaknesses but the most positive aspect of these dramas was that they provided meaningful entertainment. There is always room for improvement and we hope that the next ISPR production is even more appealing than these two. It is always refreshing watching well-written dramas with strong young characters whose sole purpose in life is not getting married! Which one of these dramas appealed to you more?
