Hunger Games is soon coming up with the prequel- The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
Reports suggest that a new member is on board for the prequel film of the movie series Hunger Games. The new cast member to join the team is Hunter Schafer who has been seen previously in the HBO series- Euphoria.
The prequel will be released in November 2023 in theatres, worldwide.
Tigris Snow played by Schafer will be seen as Coriolanus’ cousin and confidant, and is his wise counsel in all matters, from his role as a mentor to the foundation of his moral compass, Coriolanus can count on Tigris for advice.
Along with Schafer, we will also be seeing Tom Blyth opposite Schafer and Rachel Zegler as Lucy Gray the girl from District 12.
The news has been confirmed after a post from Lionsgate post which the production house of Hunger Games – Lionsgate reads: “Years before he would become the tyrannical President of Panem, 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow is the last hope for his fading lineage, a once-proud family that has fallen from grace in a post-war Capitol. With the 10th annual Hunger Games fast approaching, the young Snow is alarmed when he is assigned to mentor Lucy Gray Baird, the girl tribute from impoverished District 12. But, after Lucy Gray commands all of Panem’s attention by defiantly singing during the reaping ceremony, Snow thinks he might be able to turn the odds in their favor. Uniting their instincts for showmanship and newfound political savvy, Snow and Lucy’s race against time to survive will ultimately reveal who is a songbird and a snake.”
Hunter Schafer made her acting debut by featuring in the HBO series based on teen drama- Euphoria. She has also co-written one of the special episodes of the series which premiered in January 2021. Her current projects also involve Cuckoo from director Tilman Singer.

The Suzanne Collins book served as the inspiration for the movie series. The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, the fifth installment in the Hunger Games series, is based on the most recent Collin novel and will be regarded as the prequel to the previous films.
Francis Lawrence directed the film series produced under Lionsgate ‘The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Mockingjay: Part One, and Mockingjay: Part Two.
The prequel film will be released next year in the month of November and will be released in theatres worldwide.
