Turkish actor Cavit Çetin Güner, who portrays the role of Dogan Alp in the hit historical drama series Dirilis Ertugrul reached Islamabad on Wednesday morning to meet his fans in Pakistan. He, for sure, did an outstanding performance in the series.
The show portrays the hardships of a tribal clan leading to the rise of the Ottoman Empire. That being said, it is basically a romanticized version of Muslim history. PTV began airing a dubbed version in April. This historical Turkish drama has been all the rage in Pakistan ever since.
After taking a flight from Istanbul airport, the actor reported his arrival by sharing a a snap of his boarding pass on social media and broke the news of his much-awaited visit earlier during the day.
Later, he shared another short Instagram story backed by Pakistani music. The 34-year-old Güner saluted the country, saying, “Gooood morning, Islamabad, Pakistan.”

Pakistani fans are in love with the entire cast of the mega-hit series and Ertugrul fever is still going strong in the country. Overwhelmed by the love of their fans in another country, many of the Ertugrul cast members such as Dogan Alp expressed their desire to visit Pakistan and meet their fans.
Earlier, the Ertugrul actor planned to visit Pakistan in late August. However, when the planned visit, organized by a Pakistani lawyer living in Turkey, turned out to be a scam, Güner posted an Instagram story apologizing to disappointed fans for canceling the visit to his ‘second home’ Pakistan.
Güner has arrived at the capital on a two-day visit, during which the actor will meet various important and social figures and also visit various spots. The Pakistani fans have expressed joy and welcomed the actor on his arrival.
Moreover, ‘Welcome to Pakistan #Cavitcetinguner’ has become a top Twitter trend upon his arrival in the federal capital. Guner aka Dogan Alp mingled with fans in Islamabad and enjoyed a horseback ride as well.

Well, it seems like the first of many upcoming trips undertaken by Turkish actors in Pakistan, after Ertugrul became a nation-wide hit.
Besides him, the lead actor of the Turkish show, Engin Altan Düzyatan, is also scheduled to arrive in Pakistan from Oct 9-11. The three-day tour has been named,” Jashn-e-Ertuğrul.” We sure can’t wait!
The highly-popular Turkish series Dirilis: Ertugrul started to air in the country on special directives of PM Imran Khan. Since then, the drama’s stars have received massive fame and love from all over Pakistan.
