Eminem’s new ape-tastic twitter profile is a must for fans to check out, as the 2002 Oscar winning rapper joins many others in buying a bored ape NFT for nearly half a million dollars. Dubbed as the “EminApe”, the NFT was sold by BAYC member GeeGazza for 123.45 ETh, or approximately $452,000, as reported by HypeBeast.
The Bored Ape Yatch Club (BAYC) NFTs have sold out like hot cakes among famous personalities in 2021- Jimmy Fallon, Post Malone, Stephen Curry, Logan Paul, Marshmellow, and the list goes on. Eminem’s Association with the NFT Sphere
For Marshall Mathers, better known through the stage name Eminem, this isn’t the first time getting into the non-fungible market space either. Presently, the hip hop megastar also owns the NFTs SABC #2615, Shaq Gives Back #4077, and Adult Fantasy Sub-Dude (130/151).
The artist has even released his own NFT collection, ‘Shady Con’ before. These NFTs, with instrument beats, became an instant hit in the market, with one of them selling for over 100K dollars. He also released a set of NFT action figures, as per The Blast periodical. Tailored explicitly for the occasion, the event featured exclusive Eminem-produced beats that hadn’t been released before. The buyers also had the chance to buy a limited-edition sets of NFTs.
Registered under the name of Shady_Holdings, this american singer has about 20 NFTs on OpenSea. Evidence that this is not his first brush with the digital tokens’ circle is even seen in his music, as he mentions bitcoin in “Not Alike,” one of the tracks on his album “Kamikaze,” as mentioned by Coindesk.
