
Elliot Page And Emma Portner Heading For A Divorce
Actress Elliot Page and Emma Portner, the choreographer have decided to divorce after three years of marriage.
“After careful consideration, we made the difficult decision to divorce after our separation last summer,” the Canadian couple said in a statement.
“We have a lot of respect for each other and we are always close friends.” They did not provide further details.
‘Pursuing My Authentic Self’
The page, a 33-year-old Oscar-nominated actor, came out as transgender in 2020.
That decision has been widely praised by many of his fans and other actors.
Page said at the time that he could not “begin to express how remarkable it feels to finally love who I am enough to pursue my authentic self”.
He also used the opportunity to address the stigma attached to trans people.
Juno Actor Elliot page has gained worldwide acclaim for its role as a teenage pregnant woman in the 2007 film Juno. Other major films include Inception and the X-Men series, and the actor recently starred in the Netflix drama series The Umbrella Academy.
Portner, 26, said she had always supported Page’s decision to leave.

Elliot Page is a Canadian actor and producer. He first became known for his role in the film and television series Pit Pony, for which he won a Young Artist Award, and for recurring roles in Trailer Park Boys and ReGenesis.
Portner was born in Ottawa, Ontario and began dancing when she was three years old. She started dancing at a competitive studio in Ottawa before spending her summers with The National Ballet of Canada. While in Ottawa, she also attended Canterbury High School’s specialized arts program in their dance stream. When she was 17, she moved from Ottawa, Ontario to New York City to train at The Ailey School.
