Ellie Goulding Reveals her Mother ‘Became Quite Threatening’

Ellie Goulding reveals she has not seen her mother since almost a year. The singer tied the knot with husband Caspar Jopling at the end of August 2019. However, her 2019 ended with a car crash incident and the following year started with her mother being involved in a racism storm.

The singer has revealed in a recent interview that she has not seen her mother in over a year. She revealed that she sought therapy because her relationship with her mother ‘isn’t fixable’.

Ellie revealed that her mother became quite threatening the last time she spoke to her. She also revealed she hasn’t seen her mother since she tied the knot. The singer said she would like to be open about their problems. Because she is too scared of the aftermath.

Ellie revealed that it was frustrating to not talk about it. She said she became quite threatening when she talked about her mother in the press. The singer said discussing her was a disaster. ‘I haven’t seen my mother since my wedding last year,’ she said.

The singer admitted to seeking a lot of therapy to mend her relationship with her mother. She said: ‘I’ve done a lot of therapy about it because what I thought was fixable isn’t fixable.’

However, the singer hopes that one day she will be able to seek out everything and get it off her chest. For now, she said she is channeling her emotions towards her music. The singer said she knows a lot of women have strained their relationships with their mothers. But nobody speaks about it.

Myles Accuses Ellie’s Mother

Earlier this year, Ellie’s mother, Tracey was accused of being a racist. She was accused by I’m a Celebrity star Myles Stephenson of being racist after something she tweeted. It started with Tracey discussing about Myles appearance in Good Morning Britain. She tweeted saying she didn’t notice it much on the jungle but she questioned what is with Myles trying to sound like a black dude.

Myles responded to her tweet accusing her of racism and wrote, ‘You should be ashamed! #FRacistPeople.’ Ellie did not speak out about the incident but her mother has apologized and assured she believes she is not racist.

She wrote: ‘I’d like to apologize so much to you Myles and any upset it may have caused, I wrote something very childish I’m SO not racist, it was a flippant remark. I feel so totally ashamed about doing, it was taken out of context please forgive x.’

Myles then said that Tracey had deleted her account but she said she did not and she sent him an apology. She wrote, ‘If you want to use it and folk want to use it, by all means carry on. I have not racially abused anyone it’s a shame you think so.’

Tracey made her account private and has deleted it since the incident.
