Ellen Pompeo, best known for her iconic role as Meredith Grey on Grey’s Anatomy, made waves recently at the Michael Kors show during New York Fashion Week. The actress, 53, looked stunning in a monochromatic ensemble that had a golden skirt composed of long, fringe-like strands of cloth.
Pompeo exuded a sophisticated and modern attitude by wearing the skirt with a tan turtleneck sweater, a matching long coat, and heels. The overall style was classic, with a nod to the early 1990s skirt lengths. Her hair was done down and parted in the middle, and her makeup was warm and golden, suiting her outfit nicely. She finished the look with a matching clutch.
Pompeo was accompanied by her 8-year-old daughter, Sienna Ivery, who recently explained why she left her role as Meredith Grey. Sienna was dressed in a black fuzzy zip-front sweater, a white blouse; a black skirt with white polka dots, black tights, and black boots.
The fashion week appearance is one of only a few times the Golden Globe candidate has been seen out; since announcing her departure from Grey’s Anatomy. Pompeo has played the legendary character for 19 seasons and is said to have earned $575K per episode; making her the highest-paid actor in a primetime drama.
Fans will pay a sorrowful farewell to Pompeo’s character in the next February 23rd episode of the show; titled I’ll Follow the Sun; when the Chief of General Surgery is surprised with a farewell party ahead of her departure to Boston. Pompeo, on the other hand, has promised to return and visit her admirers; whom she has referred to as “the best fans in the world.”
Ellen Pompeo’s newest fashion escapade demonstrates that her fashion taste is as amazing as her acting abilities. We’re excited to see what she wears next!
