Dolph Ziggler made his way to NXT 2.0 this week after weeks of teasers that included running with the likes of Roderick Strong and LA Knight before outright building up a program with NXT Champion Bron Breakker.
At “Vengeance Day,” the Monday Night Raw star disrupted the Championship Summit Summit Breakker was having with his title rival, Santos Escobar.
Dolph exclaimed, his feet kicked up on the table, “What a moment. Until I showed up.” Breakker was commended on his use of social media by Ziggler, who encouraged him to “chase that clout” before questioning, “Who the hell are you?”
Ziggler listed his achievements before joking that he loses 99 out of 100 matches, but at least he’s excellent at it. The one thing he hasn’t done is win the NXT championship. Before that could happen, Tommaso Ciampa arrived to spoil the fun. Escobar became enraged before he could get into anything, wondering what the hell was going on.
It was difficult to tell! By the end, Ziggler and Ciampa were brawling all over the place, while Breakker was jumped in the ring by Legado del Fantasma, leaving the champion writhing in pain after being thrown through a table.
There wasn’t a whole lot of clarity here. All we know is that Breakker will defend his title next week against Escobar.
