Dolce & Gabbana NFTs Expand On Polygon Blockchain, Launch Of NFT Collectibles With UNXD

Dolce & Gabbana – a famed Italian luxury fashion house – has recently announced the extension of their NFT world on the Polygon blockchain, following the debut of their DGFamily NFT community in conjunction with UNXD. Collectors will now be able to join the Italian brand on a voyage into the Metaverse and beyond to experience exclusive digital fashion.

As reported by U.Today, Dolce & Gabbana’s inaugural non-fungible token (NFT) collection, the Collezione Genesi was launched in September 2021, and was a historic success. The fashion designers’ NFT collection was hosted by luxury marketplace UNXD, which is built on the Polygon network.

D&G’s ‘Doge Crown’: The Hightlight Of Collezione Genesi

Dolce and Gabbana’s first NFT collection, the Collezione Genesi, garnered a whopping $6 million after its launch on 20 September, with its “Doge Crown” NFT fetching the highest price. The collectibles featured a group of nine NFTs – in which the Doge Crown – featuring seven blue sapphires and 142 diamonds, sold for nearly $1.3 million.

Dolce&Gabbana’s Exclusive NFT Drops

DGFamily members will have access to a series of exclusive drops featuring both digital and physical wearables, including an exclusive Dolce&Gabbana swag kit. UNXD’s site states that this expansion offers availability to “a pioneering ecosystem of digital, physical, and experiential benefits from the exclusive Dolce&Gabbana universe.”

DGFamily Boxes are digital collectibles (NFTs) that also function like the different tiers of the Dolce&Gabbana universe membership. As Dolce&Gabbana pushes the boundaries of luxury and culture in the metaverse, DGFamily members receive special digital, physical, and experiential benefits. DGFamily boxes are curated in three tiers, each of which is based on the old Italian Carretto style. These tiers are Black, Gold, and Platinum.

U.Today observed a spike in Polygon active users amid global NFT drops. In January, iconic Italian fashion house Prada and sportswear giant Adidas announced their first collaborative NFT project on the Polygon blockchain. More recently, Polygon deepened its integration with Filecoin, and it has started creating grants and hackathons to assist development teams and NFT projects that use Polygon blockchain to integrate with Filecoin and InterPlanetary File System (IPFS).
