Disney Scrapped Shang Chi Holiday Special Under Quality Control Check

A pretty sad week for superheroes like DC’s Supergirl, Batgirl and now Shang Chi made to the list. So, like Warner Bros cancelled these two movies, Disney is also following in the same footsteps. Disney has decided to scrap Marvel’s Shang Chi Holiday Special. The news is confirmed by the actor himself. Scroll down to know more!

Disney Shelve Marvel’s Shang Chi

After the massive success of Marvel’s Shang Chi and the Legend Of The Ten Rings, the makers signed a deal with the Hollywood studio for the next part. So, the sequel and spin-off series was almost final by director Destin Daniel Cretton, sadly the bad news came in.

Simu Liu, playing the lead in the film took to his social media account to share the news. Indeed, seeing his post, many fans will be left disappointed with Disney. Simu Liu commented that the film got cancelled due to quality control concerns. He informed his fans that he shot the entire upcoming film for Marvel. Though, Disney and Marvel are yet to make an official comment on the same news.

Actor Simu told, “I’m sorry to inform you guys that Disney has decided to scrap the Shang Chi Holiday Special due to quality control concerns. I had already filmed the entire thing. I even designed an all-gingerbreads Ta Lo. RIP Shang Chi and The Legend Of The TEEEN GOLDEN RIIINGS”.

So, if the news is to believe then Marvel Cinematic Universe has dropped Shang Chi completely. However, people pointed out the actor for being so insensitive towards Warner Bros.

MCU Upcoming Films

Apart from this, the Hollywood studio is also making The Guardian of the Galaxy Holiday Special. Currently, this show is under production, directed by James Gunn. It will be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar. The series features Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper and more.
