Disha Vakani to return to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah?

According to reports, the actress Disha Vakani is going to return to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for a special episode after the lockdown!

With unlock 1.0, Maharashtra Government has allowed the film city to resume shoots after getting specific permissions and following certain guidelines. Since then, all the producers have been trying to get their shows on track. The comedy daily soap Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is also one of the shows which is planning to resume shoot.

Dayaben aka Disha Vakani has been one of the most loved characters of the show. But she has been missing from the episodes for more than two years now. However, recently there have been reports around her returning to the show.

A special episode is in pipeline to celebrate the 12 years of the show. But when the producer Asit Modi was asked about the same, he did not confirm anything.

He told pinkvilla, “Let the shoot resume first, there is no point commenting or discussing this right now. This is not the proper time to speak about what will happen and just speaking for the heck of it because we are all still figuring out a systematic way to first begin the shoot. First, the shoot should begin, and then we will have a little more clarity on how things will be taken forward.”

When asked about the shoot permits, he confirmed that they are planning to get back to the sets. “This is a welcome decision. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s fans have been waiting to watch the new episodes and we thank the government for allowing us to shoot now by following the guidelines. Hopefully, we’ll soon be able to resume the shootings after receiving the final permissions from authorities and deliver quality entertainment to our audiences which they’ve been so eagerly waiting for,” said the producer.
