Director of No Way Home had a ‘Spider-Man therapy session’ with Tom, Andrew, and Tobey

Spider-Man: No Way Home was one of the most popular movies of 2021. While Tom Holland reprised his role as the web-slinging superhero for the third time, he was joined by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, two other Spider-Man actors. Fans couldn’t contain their joy as the three reunited for an emotional sequence in the film, and director Jon Watts recently opened up about the preparation for the same in an interview with Variety.

Before filming the first scene with Tobey, Andrew, and Tom together, the director mentioned having a chat with all of the performers. “I had talked to everyone separately,” Watts said, “but having everyone together to talk about the story, how the pieces fit together, and what Spider-Man meant to them — that was exciting for me. We had the only three actors to ever play Spider-Man in a film, and each had been through so much, on and off-screen. It was like a Spider-Man therapy session.”

While the audience was left emotional and mesmerized as they watched the three Spider-Men come together, Watts noted that it was no different on the set of the film, with the team watching the shot as if it were a movie. The director also discussed the weight and responsibility of bringing the Homecoming franchise to a close.

On December 16, Spider-Man: No Way Home was released in theatres, and it became the huge film that brought viewers back to the theatres during the pandemic.

Andrew Garfield Reveals Who Was Aware Of His No Way Home Cameo

Andrew Garfield has admitted to lying to many people about his Spider-Man: No Way Home role, including actress Emma Stone, who pressed him to tell the truth. Andrew disclosed the only three persons with whom he shared the huge MCU secret during his recent interview on The Ellen Show. Only his family was aware of the situation, according to the actor.

In an interview with Ellen, the actor stated that he had been keeping the secret for two years and that it was like throwing a surprise party for a large group of people. Garfield went on to say that only his parents and brother were aware of his return as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film.
