The Entertainment District arc is now in full swing for the second season’s final stretch, and while the full episode count has yet to be officially revealed, reports suggest that it may not be as long as fans had hoped.
However, as the season’s new opening and closing theme sequences hint, there’s a lot to look forward to in this new arc. The Sound Hashira has hired Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu for a new mission: to infiltrate the titular Entertainment District. And also discover why Tengen’s wives have stopped providing him updates on their investigations.
Within the den of greed and pride, there’s a powerful demon waiting to be battled. And it’ll be considerably more difficult to defeat than anything Tanjiro has battled on the Mugen Train. With the second season being midway through the arc, it’ll only be a matter of time before all of these fights are fully realized in future episodes.
Demon Slayer Season 2: Episode II
The second season of Demon Slayer feels like it’s finally getting started, with Tanjiro’s group and Tengen Uzui infiltrating the Entertainment District in the second episode. It’ll be a while before the action begins, but episode two nails the series’ comedy beautifully.
We learn a little more about the Sound Hashira Uzui, including the fact that he has three wives, here. Zenitsu can’t stand Uzui right away because of his philandering ways. The show, like the manga, makes excellent use of this to produce comedy.
