Marvel D23 expo event was filled with exciting reveals, details, and teasers. But we can’t forget, that the event gave us the biggest announcement which we all have been waiting for so long. A few months back, it was already known that a Thunderbolts movie is in development. But no one didn’t really know who will return for the film.
The D23 expo has finally announced the team Thunderbolts and its members. The team will include Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, Hannah John Kamen as Ghost, and Wyatt Russell as John Walker.
The film will also bring back Valentina Allegra De Fontaine. Initially, she debuted in the Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Now, in thunderbolts, she will be back as the mastermind spy. As of now, more details haven’t been revealed about the plot. But David Harbour teased what to expect from the newly formed team.
David Harbour On Thunderbolts
David Harbour is happy to be back and also very thrilled to get new red guardian suits. The Stranger Things actor spoke about thunderbolts at the D23 expo. He says, ” I think they’re all difficult people who all have many weaknesses.”
David teases that when people/ characters from different walks of life with certain weaknesses are put together in a film. Then there is “often drama and comedy.”
Thunderbolts will be directed by Jake Schreier. Eric Pearson writer of Black Widow will penn down the screenplay.
Thunderbolts will release in theatres on 26th July 2024.
Just like how Detective Comics (DC) has a Suicide Squad in the same way fans are getting the MCU version of them. Thunderbolts are supervillains but they pose as superheroes, they are the exact opposites of the Avengers.
