Jake Paul hasn’t been shy to call out potential opponents since he first entered the boxing match. He’s tried to arrange up fights with Conor McGregor and Canelo Alvarez but has been defeated by UFC champion Tyron Woodley.
Naturally, some fighters have tried to turn the tables on him by calling their shot and challenging him to a fight.
There are plenty of fighters lining up to grapple with Jake, who appears to be making moves into the MMA scene as he attempts to turn the combat game on its head once more.
Henry Cejudo, the former UFC Bantamweight Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist has made one of the most intriguing comments.
The 34-year-old, who resigned from the UFC in March 2020 with a 16-2 record, is willing to put on the gloves one again — and isn’t asking for a penny.
He only wants to fight UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski. “Hey @danawhite, pay me to fight Alex and I’ll beat up Jake Paul for free,” Cejudo tweeted, with many commenters begging with the UFC President to accept the offer.
Have A Look
Even though Cejudo has been out of the octagon for almost two years, his skills in the ring still well outweigh those of the YouTube star, and a battle between the two would be a huge mismatch.
If Jake does make the jump to professional MMA, it will spark the interest of both fans and critics, but he will most likely face competitors at the bottom of the standings. We’ll have to wait and see if the callouts result in anything.
