Damian Priest Discusses The Importance Of A Latest WWE Raw Match

WWE Megastar Damien Priest discussed his recent match with Rey Mysterio at Madison Square Garden. Priest and Finn Balor were defeated by Rey and Dominik Mysterio on Raw on July 25. Priest emphasised the significance of Rey’s legacy to the Hispanic community. Rey also celebrated his 20th anniversary with WWE on the Raw episode. It’s important for a Latino from New York to see Rey all these years representing our culture, said Priest.

One of the most common things I hear from our Latino fans is, Thank you for representing. I’m not sure if that’s possible without a Rey. I mean, look at what he’s accomplished for the Latino community, for Hispanic people. So, for me, any honour I receive for doing anything for our community is part of our heritage. Because it’s been 20 years in WWE, I’ve seen so many events at Madison Square Garden, where I grew up.

And then, with Rey, who is clearly nearing the end of his professional life as a future Hall of Famer and now SummerSlam, speak about the timing of getting to work with him. So, given that it was MSG, it’s mind-boggling. Yes, we lost the match, but I had a great time watching his celebration. Priest and Balor will indeed end up losing to Rey and Dominik in a No Disqualification Tag Team Match at SummerSlam. As during fight, WWE Hall of Famer Edge appeared and assisted Rey and Dominik.

A most SummerSlam in history featured Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns in a Last Man Standing match for Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Reigns managed to defend his championship against all odds, with Lesnar using a tractor at one point to destroy the ring and knock Reigns to the floor. In the meantime, the event saw the come back of Bayley, Dakota Kai, as well as Iyo Sky (Io Shirai), who all faced WWE Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair & Becky Lynch after Belair’s vigorous defense against Lynch.

Other noteworthy memories would include Bobby Lashley securing the WWE US Championship against Theory, Logan Paul beating The Miz, Seth Rollins left lying out Riddle for the second time in a row, and the Usos securing the WWE Tag Team Championships against the Street Profits, to Jeff Jarrett serving as a special guest umpire.
