Dakota Johnson is one of the beautiful faces of Gucci’s new Beloved Late-Night campaign which is out now. Before the launch of the campaign, the actress attended the digital screening of Gucci Aria this week.
She was donning the all-Gucci spring outfit that was brought together by her stylist Kate Young. Dakota has kept a low profile this year which she has successfully done because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. She was recently roped in for Netflix’s modern-day adaptation of Jane Austen’s Persuasion.
Dakota spoke to Marie Clare last May about her mental health journey, especially during this crucial isolation time. The actress shared that she is constantly thinking about the state of the world at the moment. She said it keeps her up all night and every night.
The actress shared, “I’m constantly thinking about the state of the world right now. It keeps me up at night, all night, every night. My brain goes to crazy dark places with it.” She also shared that her brain moves at a million miles per minute.
Dakota further added that she has to do a lot of work to curb her thoughts and emotions. She shared, “My brain moves at a million miles per minute. I have to do a lot of work to purge thoughts and emotions, and I am in a lot of therapy.”
The actress has been dealing with her mental health issues since she was a teenager. She had shared that she struggled with depression since she was young. The Fifty Shades of Grey star added that she took the help of professionals and realized this was a thing she can fall into.
She said, “I’ve struggled with depression since I was young—since I was 15 or 14. That was when, with the help of professionals, I was like, ‘Oh, this is a thing I can fall into’. But I’ve learned to find it beautiful because I feel the world. I guess I have a lot of complexities, but they don’t pour out of me. I don’t make it anyone else’s problem.”
