Cody Rhodes Reveals The Two Options WWE Has To Defeat Roman Reigns

Even if many fans would prefer Sami Zayn to hold that position, Cody Rhodes isn’t sorry for winning the Royal Rumble and getting a shot at the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania.  Rhodes stated that gaining the support of WWE fans by the time he competes at WrestleMania 39 is “another goal post” he needs to cross on the most recent episode of the “Cheap Heat” podcast with Peter Rosenberg.

Additionally, he added, the fans should be delighted that they have “two options” for challenging champion Roman Reigns: either Zayn at this weekend’s Elimination Chamber or Rhodes at WrestleMania 39.”People have been wanting these realistic candidates to dethrone the greatest champion of our period for, I feel like [for] two years,” Rhodes said.

“But it never seemed like there was one.” “You now have two choices. Give them everything, is how I see it. “Sami’s match against Roman at his hometown’s Elimination Chamber is how you give them everything, and if Roman advances from that, you give them everything by having me and Roman wrestle at the biggest WrestleMania ever.”

The pre-WrestleMania title bout

Although Zayn has certain advantages because the pre-WrestleMania title bout will take place in the wrestler’s hometown of Montreal on Saturday, Rhodes warned that “you don’t want to bet against” Reigns. But Rhodes claimed that fans can’t hold him responsible if Reigns triumphs and confronts him. He declared, “I punched my ticket and I can’t apologise for that.

“Sami will have to be one of the first guys I have to look at in general if I get there and it is Roman and I can get past the mountain, but I’m just glad the possibilities are there. There weren’t any choices.” Reigns defended the championship against Kevin Owens at Royal Rumble, but the emotional incident involving Sami Zayn and The Bloodline that came after it stole the show. The American Nightmare said in an interview after winning the competition that The Ring General is a difficult guy.

“My God, when I realised how tough Gunther is, I was immediately eager to battle him once more. “However, I’m not interested in wrestling him ever again,” he said. Cody Rhodes returns to WWE in April 2022 after a lengthy sabbatical. He did, however, have a legitimate injury two months later that kept him out of action for close to seven months before he made his victorious comeback at the Royal Rumble a few hours ago.
