Season 6 of Outlander has finally been released in a series of first-look photographs, which depict Claire and Jamie’s romance in colonial North Carolina. Since its debut in 2014, the Starz drama series based on Diana Gabaldon’s bestselling historical fantasy novels has been a huge hit. Outlander season 6 will continue to star Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan as Claire and Jamie, with Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin rounding out the cast.
Outlander is a period drama set mostly in the mid-twentieth century and mid-eighteenth century Scotland. It follows Claire Randall/Fraser on her often dangerous and occasionally romantic time journeys.
In its early days, the series garnered cultural similarities to Game of Thrones, owing to the fact that both featured historical European stylings and were adapted from popular fantasy novel series. The show’s focus, on the other hand, is very different, focusing on Claire’s special relationship with her 18th-century boyfriend Jamie Fraser.
Outlander season 6 first-look photographs have been revealed by TVLine, giving fans a sneak peek at what’s to come. Claire and Jamie continue to make a life in North Carolina in the days leading up to the American Revolution in the new season, which will adapt Gabaldon’s sixth novel, A Breath of Snow and Ashes.
Season 6 is set to premiere in early 2022, according to the report. According to the official synopsis, “Season 6 investigates what occurs when there is disharmony and division among the inhabitants of the home you’ve made,” and “when you become an outsider, or a ‘outlander,’ so to speak, rejected and rejected in your own house.”
