Chrissy Teigen has been incredibly happy as she is having a “special day” celebrating the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. The model expressed her emotions on Twitter as she celebrates the day with her family.
The cookbook author shared how thankful she was to experience the historical event sober. She claimed the decision has made her very happy as she explained how they took the photo. The model said, “(we) ran our a**es up the stairs for this shot.” She shared a beautiful snap of herself and her husband, John Legend along with their two kids.
Chrissy wrote, “just incredible to be here. sober. I know that’s weird but it’s like…a different world for me. everything is new and better.” She gushed, adding: “very happy. the most happy bigly happy.” Back in December, the model had revealed that she has decided to go sober sometime in November as she shared that she was already four weeks sober at the time.
The Cravings author’s decision comes after the tragic pregnancy loss she experienced in September. Other than her sobriety, the model also revealed that she has been going through intense grief counseling. She has been vocal about her journey through therapy as she keeps updating her fans about the same.
Chrissy also reacted to being the only celebrity President Biden follows. She wrote, “OH MY GOD !!!!!!!!!!” as she shared a screenshot of Biden’s following list with her 13.5 million followers. So far the president is only following 11 accounts on the platform as many of those accounts belong to his personal White House aides.

“my heart oh my god lmao I can finally see the president’s tweets”
Specifically, he is following the likes of White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, Director of National Economic Council Brian Deese, and Domestic Policy Advisor Susan Rice.
Chrissy was completely surprised as she posted a follow-up tweet and one of them poked fun at the former president as well. The model was blocked by Donald Trump while he had control over the @POTUS Twitter. With the account settings being reset, Chrissy shared how she can finally see the president’s tweets. The model also hoped that it won’t be unhinged like Trump’s tweets.
The Cravings author also poked fun at herself as she joked that she should probably never tweet again. She wrote, “my heart oh my god lmao I can finally see the president’s tweets and they probably won’t be unhinged”.
Chrissy posted numerous pictures of her and her family as they took to the Capitol. She looked ultra-glam in a bright red coat with matching pumps. Another picture showed the lovely couple holding hands before the Washington monument with daughter Luna and son Miles.
John had to perform during the inaugural primetime special Celebrating America. Prior to gaining entrance to the inauguration, Chrissy was subject to her seventh COVID-19 test of the week, writing that she and her family could not “go anywhere till [they] got [their] results.”
She updated fans saying they have been tested 7 of the last 7 days of various shoots and events. The model prayed as she crossed her fingers and told her fans they would not have to hear her window news. This was in reference to her hilarious inauguration ceremony commentary she was giving.

“All I wanna do is make you happy or at least leave you with a neutral feeling of indifference”
Chrissy was also subject to some criticism for attending the inauguration ceremony amid the coronavirus pandemic. This came right after she shared snapshots of Miles packing for their trip to the Capitol.
One irked Washington, D.C. resident wrote: “Hey Chrissy DC residents aren’t very ‘happy’ right now and can’t even ‘happy pack’ their cars to drive to the grocery store because of the military state the city is in but yeah LOL come on down especially in a pandemic. How happy!!!”
The city has heightened its security due to the recent riots at the US Capitol. The Twitter user also noted that due to the pandemic and social-distancing “no one will be there” to watch John perform; which prompted the question; “Why couldn’t he do a virtual performance and also why does his whole family have to go when literally no one can move about the city?”
Chrissy was annoyed by the question as she is the queen of clapbacks. She asked why are they always mad at her. The model tweeted, “for f**ks sake why are you guys always always mad at me; all I wanna do is make you happy or at least leave you with a neutral feeling of indifference”.
She also reminded critics that it is not her fault but said she understands their frustration. The Cravings author said she likes sharing what she is up to and whatnot.
