Chris Rock Calls Will Smith “Suge Smith” In Response To The Apology Video

Yesterday Will Smith made an apology video for Chris Rock and his family for whatever he did at the Oscars 2022. Chris Rock did standup at the Fox Theater in Atlanta on 29th July as a part of his Ego Death World tour, he indirectly joked about Will Smith’s Apology.

He gave Will Smith a new nickname, as he addressed him saying “Suge Smith” which is a reference to Suge Knight the founder of Death Row Records. This label launched many big artists like Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre.

Addressing to Will Smith’s Apology indirectly he says, ” Everybody is trying to be a F**king victim. If everybody claims to be a victim, then nobody will hear the real victims. Even me getting smacked by Suge Smith… I went to work the next day I got kids.”

He added that anyone who said, ” words hurt has never been punched in the face.”

Will Smith posted a video on his YouTube Channel with the headline “It’s been a minute”, the video is 5 minutes 45 seconds long.

The first question he was asked was why he didn’t apologize to Chris at the time of his acceptance speech. To which he responded that he tried to reach out to Chris but he wasn’t ready to talk so when he will be he will reach out.

Chris says, ” I apologize to you, My behavior was unacceptable and I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk.” He continued apologizing to Chris’s mother and his family, Will said he watched an interview with his mother and at that moment he realized that he has hurt many people by his behavior at the Oscars.

Chris also specifically mentioned apology to Tony Rock as he is a good friend of his. He says,” Tony Rock was my man and this is probably irreparable.”

He also confirmed that Jada didn’t tell him to do anything, “it’s simply his own choice, his own experience, and his own history with Chris”. Jada had nothing to Do with it, he said. Also, he apologized to his own family and the nominees whose Oscar moment was stolen because of him.
